NVIDIA GeForce GT220 1GB graphics card?

Is theNVIDIA GeForce GT220 1GB graphics card any good with the amd phenom ii x4 black edition, 6 gb 1333 MHz, and 1tb 7200 rpm?|||The GT220 is a decent $60 card, but if you're dropping big money on a phenom ii x4 black edition and 6gb of RAM, you should have a MUCH better graphics card than that!!! Remember, your GPU is far more important than your CPU for gaming performance.

Someone with an Athlon II X2 (dual core) and GeForce 9800GT would run circles around your quad-core black edition system, because that GT220 is so slow. Go for at least a Radeon 5750 or GTS 250.|||the gt 220 is a low end video card, and it will most likely bottleneck your nice Phenom II quad core...they have ddr2 memory(a few have ddr3)....if you can spend an extra 25.00 bux you can pick up the gt240 which will smoke the gt220......it has 96 stream processors and has gddr5 memory which is really fast compared to drr2/3 memory......

its a much better card that will play newer games pretty well........it a little faster than the 9600gt.......here is a comparison of specs, 9600gt,9500gt etc.......

and just for the record the gt240 is about 100.00 bux.....for 14.00 more you can get a radeon 4770 that will smoke it in that price range........

Scott|||The most important thing here that nobody is taking into account is the fact that the GT 220 is NOWHERE CLOSE to being powerful enough to use 1GB. If you're spending extra to get that 1GB, don't bother. Also, why are you getting 6GB of RAM? That's just STOOPID! I haven't seen anyone manage to use more than 4GB, especially for gaming. Just get 4GB.

The Card you should get: ATi Radeon HD 5770 512MB - $145
