GeForce GT220 good budget GPU?

for gaming|||With its 48 stream processors, it is good enough for medium game settings and moderate resolution. Better get the one with gddr3 of graphics memory.

GT220 is better than the 9500GT that has only 32 SPs. The GT220 is just a tad below the mainstream category of gaming cards.|||The problem with good, budget and gaming in the same sentence - is that they just don't really go together, and it depends what your budget is:

Not a bad choice in the price range, it's more performance the the Radeon HD5450 at similar prices, unless having DX11 really matters to you.

Games? - need to keep resolution and features tweaked down a bit, may show strain in more demanding sections - its a BUDGET card on a par with a 9500GT.

Look for rebate offers on the next step up...

A GT240 @ $64.99 after MIR

Or a HD4670 (which soundly beats it in the review) @ $64.99 after MIR

If you want cheaper than that, then I guess it has to be the GT220 - can be found in 1GB @ $49.99 after rebate - or $42.99 in 512MB
