Im upgrading my sh!t desktop from geforce 7050 (a 3 year old hand-me-down)
to either of these 2 cards coz also I have a sh!t psu (250W)
thing is Ive been browsing tigerdirect and i saw both cards are in stock
what I dont get is that 9800gt is $70 and gt220 is $57.99 WTF?
isnt gt220 more advanced? jobless, for sure im getting the latter coz of cheapness
but why the price? is it coz 9800gt is better in some way? I am totally clueless
when it comes to this stuff. thoughts?|||The 9800 GT is a MUCH MUCH better card, think of graphics card numbers like years and horsepower, the first number is the year or model, 9000 series or the newer 200 series then the next number is the horsepower, the 20 compared to the 800. your gettting a year or so older card but it is much much better.|||Either way, you will need a new PSU. But if you are buying a new graphics card, then go with the 550ti. It is in the $125 range, and a psu for that card will only run you $50 tops...
